Welcome to Baekson

Demystifying gestural sketching technique for applying a figurative drawing approach to inanimate objects and designed forms.

About Baekson

Baekson™—the Korean word for “hundred hands”—reflects the belief that creativity grows through practice and many attempts.

The Baekson™ mission is to help present and future creative minds recognize the profound power of creation by developing the ability to sketch ideas at a moment’s notice.

Our training approach sits between disciplines, blending classical figure drawing with the precision of technical arts rather than following traditional fine arts, architectural or industrial design methods alone.

At the heart of our teaching is what we refer to as ‘gestural sketching’, which trains to capture movement, structure, and intent quickly and instinctively—skills ultimately directed toward confidently depicting inanimate objects and designed forms, while also remaining broadly applicable to subjects from the natural world for those who wish to explore them instead.

Baekson™ is for creatives and professionals who want to reconnect with visual thinking by communicating ideas more effectively through drawing with clarity, speed and confidence.
